Foronjy Family Update Summer 2023

Bailey Tries Pitching!

Bailey Tries Pitching!

As the baseball season wound down at the end of spring, all players were offered an opportunity to try pitching. Bailey jumped at the opportunity (to be like Kershaw of course) and did great!

End of Preschool

End of Preschool

Sawyer finished his last year of preschool, which means the Foronjys have officially graduated from preschool! Sawyer had a great year as the big kid in the class and worked on helping others and being a leader.

Summer Reading

Summer Reading

As much as we treasure our busy lives with school, work and sports, we also treasure the shift in seasons that allows for cozy reading time on the couch. Jackson has been enjoying a graphic novel series based on Egyptian mythology.

Family Summer Camp

Family Summer Camp

Every year we attend family camp with friends and Jen's parents at Camp Ocean Pines. It is a treasured time to all be a camper again. Here Jen's dad, Ken, and Sawyer work on a painting of a baseball, of course!

LA Bound!

LA Bound!

No summer would be complete in the Foronjy house without a trip or two to LA to watch the Dodgers play! The kids are very happy that their streak of only going to winning games is still standing.

Summer Adventure

Summer Adventure

Last summer, we packed up the kids in the camper and headed to Wyoming and back. This year we packed up again for a 2 week road trip with our dear family friends. Here we are on a stop at Crater Lake in Oregon.

Washinton Beauty

Washinton Beauty

After visiting Lassen and Crater Lake, we headed north for a few days to Mt Rainer in Washington state. We did some great hiking, eating, and relaxing by the rivers.

Rainforest Hike

Rainforest Hike

After Mt Rainer, we headed to the Olympic Peninsula to hike through Olympic National Park and to visit or first rainforest. This was our last stop on our adventure before heading south home with stops in coastal southern Oregon and Redwood National Park.

Staycation at the Beach

Staycation at the Beach

While the big kids were at summer camp and Sawyer was with his grandparents, we took the camper to the beach in Morro Bay and enjoyed a staycation. We walked for miles, ate great food, and missed the kids, of course!

Casa del Herrero Tour

Casa del Herrero Tour

The stars aligned and we all had the opportunity to spend a wonderful evening together touring Casa del Herrero in Montecito. We learned about the history of the family, toured the gardens, and enjoyed a lovely cocktail together. We are so grateful that we have these two wonderful humans in our lives.
